How do I reconstitute milk powder?
The standard ratio is about 1 part powder to 4 parts water. For example, mix 1/4 cup (30g) powder with 1 cup (240ml) of cold or warm water and stir vigorously until completely dissolved.
Can I use it in place of fresh milk in recipes?
Yes, but you need to reconstitute it first. For baking, you can also add the dry powder directly to dry ingredients and increase the liquid in the recipe slightly. It adds a richer, creamier flavor than fresh milk.
What's the difference between whole milk powder and non-fat milk powder?
