Similac Advance powder is a finely milled, pale-yellow infant formula designed to dissolve smoothly in water, creating a creamy, mild-flavored milk-like liquid. It is engineered to closely mimic the nutritional profile of breast milk, providing a balanced blend of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates for infant growth.

↓ Full nutritionParents value it for its reliability and the peace of mind that comes from a clinically studied, widely recommended brand. Its neutral, mild taste is generally well-accepted by infants.
As a powdered formula, it requires precise preparation with safe water and proper sterilization of equipment to prevent bacterial contamination. It is a common allergen (contains milk and soy) and is not suitable for infants with galactosemia.
Modern infant formulas like Similac Advance are the result of decades of research, with the first commercial infant formula invented in 1867 by Justus von Liebig.

How does it differ from Similac Pro-Advance?
Pro-Advance includes 2'-FL HMO, a prebiotic found in breast milk, while the standard Advance formula does not. Both provide DHA and other key nutrients.
Can I use it after the 'Use By' date?
No. The expiration date is critical for safety and nutritional integrity. Using expired formula is not recommended.
Is the powder sterile?
The powder itself is not sterile. It must be mixed with hot water (at least 70°C/158°F) according to instructions to kill any potential bacteria like Cronobacter.
