💚 Why it's loved

People love its neutral, creamy profile that seamlessly blends into coffee, smoothies, and cereals without overpowering other flavors. It's a beloved staple in vegan and lactose-intolerant diets, offering a familiar, comforting texture.

⚠️ Watch-outs & how to enjoy it better

As a soy product, it's a common allergen and contains phytoestrogens, which some individuals may choose to limit. The natural sugars can cause a mild blood-sugar rise for sensitive individuals. To counteract, pair it with a source of protein or healthy fat (like nuts or seeds) to slow absorption, and always check labels for added sugars if monitoring intake.

FAQ

Is SILK Plain Soymilk the same as tofu water?
No. Tofu water (the liquid pressed from tofu) is a thin, watery byproduct. SILK soymilk is a dedicated beverage made by soaking and grinding whole soybeans, then straining and fortifying the liquid.

Can I heat it for coffee or cooking?
Yes, it heats well and is excellent for lattes. To prevent curdling in acidic coffee, pour the soymilk in first or temper it by slowly adding a small amount of coffee to the soymilk before combining.

Why does it sometimes separate in the fridge?
Natural separation can occur as the solids settle. Simply shake the carton well before pouring. This is normal for many plant-based milks without heavy stabilizers.
