Ingredients
1 pound pizza dough, at room temperature
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup whole-milk ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano
Instructions
Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet inside for at least 30 minutes.
On a floured surface, stretch or roll the pizza dough into a 12-inch round. Transfer to a floured pizza peel or parchment paper.
In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon olive oil and minced garlic. Brush over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
In another bowl, mix ricotta, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Spread evenly over the dough.
Top with shredded mozzarella. Drizzle with remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil.
Slide pizza onto the preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly, 12-15 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley, basil, and oregano. Let cool 5 minutes before slicing.
Tips
For a crispier crust, preheat your pizza stone for at least 30 minutes.
Substitute dried herbs if fresh are unavailable: use 1 teaspoon dried basil and 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano.
Leftover pizza can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in a 350°F oven.
