Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup chocolate sauce
1/2 cup whipped cream
2 tablespoons sprinkles
Instructions
Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined (batter may be slightly lumpy).
Lightly grease the waffle iron with nonstick spray or oil.
Pour about 1/2 cup of batter onto the center of the waffle iron and close the lid. Cook until golden brown and crisp, about 3-5 minutes.
Repeat with remaining batter to make 4 waffles.
Place each waffle on a serving plate. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Drizzle chocolate sauce over the ice cream, then add a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle with sprinkles.
Serve immediately.
Tips
For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon to the waffle batter.
Warm the chocolate sauce slightly for easier drizzling.
Substitute ice cream flavors like chocolate or strawberry as desired.
