Ingredients
8 slices rye bread
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
8 slices Swiss cheese
8 ounces deli-sliced turkey breast
1 cup sauerkraut, drained well
1/2 cup Russian dressing
Instructions
Spread one side of each bread slice with butter.
On the unbuttered side of 4 slices, layer 1 slice Swiss cheese, 2 ounces turkey, 1/4 cup sauerkraut, and 2 tablespoons Russian dressing. Top with another slice Swiss cheese and the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place sandwiches in the skillet and cook until golden brown and cheese is melted, about 4 minutes per side.
Serve immediately.
