Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey (93/7 lean)
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated onion
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
4 hamburger buns
Lettuce, tomato, onion, and condiments for serving
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, panko, grated onion, egg, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix gently until just combined; do not overmix.
Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about 3/4-inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat (about 400°F). Lightly oil the grates.
Grill patties for 5-6 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Avoid pressing down on patties.
During the last minute of grilling, toast buns cut-side down on the grill.
Assemble burgers on buns with desired toppings and condiments.
Tips
For extra moisture, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil or grated zucchini (squeezed dry) to the mixture.
Serve with sweet potato fries or a side salad.
Leftover patties can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
