Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined; do not overmix.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into 3/4-inch-thick patties. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
Heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add patties and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Remove from heat and let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
Tips
For extra moisture, add 1 tablespoon of grated onion or a splash of Worcestershire sauce.
Serve on buns with lettuce, tomato, and your favorite condiments.
Leftover patties can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
