  1. Pat the trout fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Dredge each fillet in flour, shaking off excess.
  2. In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of the butter. When the butter is foaming, add the fillets skin-side down. Cook until the skin is golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Flip and cook until the fish is just opaque throughout, about 2-3 minutes more. Transfer to plates and tent with foil.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons butter to the skillet. When melted, add the sliced almonds. Cook, stirring constantly, until the almonds are golden and the butter smells nutty and toasty, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn.
  4. Remove skillet from heat. Stir in the lemon juice (it will sizzle). Spoon the almond-butter sauce over the trout. Garnish with parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
