Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
1/4 cup water
4 sub rolls (about 6 inches each)
4 slices provolone cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 medium tomato, sliced
1/2 cup sliced red onion
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp milk
Instructions
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking it apart. Drain excess fat.
Stir in ranch seasoning mix and water; reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise and milk to make a creamy ranch dressing.
Slice sub rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through. Open and toast lightly if desired.
Divide the beef mixture evenly among the rolls. Top each with a slice of provolone cheese.
Add lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion. Drizzle with the prepared ranch dressing.
Close the subs and serve immediately.
Tips
For extra flavor, toast the sub rolls with a little butter before assembling.
Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
Store leftover beef mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
