Ingredients
1 lb beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup mirin
2 tablespoons sake
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
8 bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
2 green onions, thinly sliced
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, ginger, and garlic. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
