Ingredients
1 pound pizza dough, room temperature
6 string cheese sticks (mozzarella)
1/2 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
30-40 slices pepperoni
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet inside.
On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 14-inch circle.
Place string cheese sticks around the edge of the dough, about 1/2 inch from the edge. Fold the edge over the cheese and press to seal, creating a stuffed crust.
Transfer dough to a floured pizza peel or parchment paper. Spread pizza sauce evenly, leaving a 1-inch border. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella, then arrange pepperoni slices. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle oregano and Parmesan.
Slide pizza onto hot stone or baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
Let cool for 5 minutes, slice, and serve.
Tips
For extra crispy crust, brush the edge with garlic butter after baking.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat in a hot oven or skillet.
Substitute turkey pepperoni or vegetarian pepperoni for a lighter option.
