Ingredients
1 batch pizza dough (homemade or store-bought, about 2 lbs)
12 string cheese sticks (or 12 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into sticks)
1/2 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
Divide dough into two equal portions. On a floured surface, roll each portion into a 14-inch circle.
Place string cheese sticks around the edge of the dough, about 1/2 inch from the edge. Fold the dough over the cheese and press to seal, creating a stuffed crust.
Transfer the pizza to a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza peel. Spread 1/4 cup pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
Sprinkle 1 cup shredded mozzarella and 1/4 cup Parmesan over the sauce. Repeat with second pizza.
Brush the crust with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and oregano.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
Tips
For extra flavor, add pepperoni or your favorite toppings before baking.
Leftover pizza can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat in the oven for best results.
To prevent the crust from unsealing, press the dough firmly around the cheese sticks.
