Ingredients
2 lbs snow crab legs, thawed if frozen
1 cup water
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Fill a large pot with 1 cup water and bring to a boil. Place a steamer basket in the pot.
Arrange crab legs in the steamer basket, cover, and steam over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes until heated through.
While crab steams, make drawn butter: In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Skim off foam. Carefully pour clear butter into a serving dish, leaving milk solids behind.
Stir lemon juice and salt into the drawn butter.
Remove crab legs from steamer, let cool slightly, then crack and serve with drawn butter.
Tips
Serve with lemon wedges and extra drawn butter on the side.
If using frozen crab legs, thaw overnight in the refrigerator before cooking.
For extra flavor, add a pinch of Old Bay seasoning to the drawn butter.
