Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80/20)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
8 slider buns
4 slices cheddar cheese, halved
1 tbsp butter, melted
1/2 cup caramelized onions
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp yellow mustard
1 tsp pickle relish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a bowl, mix ground beef, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Divide into 8 equal portions and shape into thin patties slightly larger than buns.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. In the last minute, top each patty with half a cheese slice and cover to melt.
Brush cut sides of buns with melted butter. Toast in the oven for 5 minutes until golden.
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and relish to make the sauce.
Assemble sliders: spread sauce on bottom buns, add patty with cheese, top with caramelized onions, and close with top bun.
Tips
Use a cast-iron skillet for best browning.
Caramelize onions ahead of time for deeper flavor.
Sliders can be kept warm in a low oven covered with foil.
