Ingredients
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
12 oz linguine or spaghetti (optional)
Instructions
If serving with pasta, cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Pat shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through. Transfer shrimp to a plate.
Reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in white wine and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.
Return shrimp to the skillet, add parsley, and toss to coat. Cook for 1 minute to warm through.
Serve immediately over pasta or with bread, spooning sauce over the top.
Tips
For extra richness, add 1 tablespoon of cold butter at the end and swirl until melted.
Serve with lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.
Can be made without pasta as an appetizer or main with crusty bread.
