Instructions
- Combine water, dried shiitake mushrooms, ginger slices, and garlic in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes.
- Strain broth through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean pot or bowl; discard solids.
