Ingredients
1 English muffin, split and toasted
1 frozen sausage patty (or homemade, 2 oz)
1 large egg
1 slice American cheese
1 tablespoon butter, softened
1 frozen hash brown patty
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup orange juice or coffee (for drink)
Instructions
Cook the sausage patty in a skillet over medium heat for 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Set aside and keep warm.
In the same skillet, cook the hash brown patty in vegetable oil over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Keep warm.
Butter the cut sides of the English muffin and toast in the skillet or toaster until lightly golden.
For the egg: Use a round egg ring or a mason jar ring in the skillet. Crack the egg into the ring, season with salt and pepper, and cook until the white is set but yolk is still runny (about 2-3 minutes). Remove ring carefully.
Assemble the sandwich: Place the sausage patty on the bottom half of the English muffin, top with the cooked egg, then the cheese slice, and cover with the top muffin half.
Serve immediately with the hash brown patty and your choice of drink.
Tips
For a firmer egg, cook until yolk is fully set.
To save time, cook sausage and hash browns in separate pans.
Leftover sandwich can be wrapped and refrigerated; reheat in a toaster oven.
