Ingredients
1 tbsp vegetable oil
4 Italian sausages (about 400g), sliced into rounds
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add sausage slices and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add bell peppers and onion. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened. Add garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, water, and cornstarch until smooth. Pour the sauce into the skillet with the vegetables.
Return the cooked sausage to the skillet. Stir everything together and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients.
Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles.
Tips
For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of chili garlic sauce or red pepper flakes.
Substitute any vegetables you have on hand, such as broccoli, snap peas, or carrots.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
