Ingredients
1 pound pizza dough
8 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into 1/2-inch sticks
1/2 cup pizza sauce
6 ounces Italian sausage, casings removed
3 ounces sliced pepperoni
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 16-inch circle. Place the mozzarella sticks around the edge of the dough, about 1 inch from the edge. Fold the edge of the dough over the cheese sticks and press to seal, creating a stuffed crust.
Transfer the dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza peel. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving the stuffed crust bare.
Cook the Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, breaking it into crumbles. Drain excess fat. Sprinkle the cooked sausage and pepperoni over the sauce.
Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, then sprinkle with oregano, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese. Drizzle with olive oil.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
Tips
For extra crispiness, brush the stuffed crust with garlic butter after baking.
Leftover pizza can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven.
