Place Ritz crackers in a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form. Alternatively, place crackers in a resealable bag and crush with a rolling pin.
In a medium bowl, combine cracker crumbs and sugar. Pour melted butter over mixture and stir with a fork until all crumbs are evenly moistened.
Transfer mixture to a 9-inch pie plate. Press firmly and evenly into the bottom and up the sides using the bottom of a measuring cup or your fingers.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden. Cool completely on a wire rack before filling.
For a no-bake crust, refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set before filling.
Tips
Use salted butter if you prefer a saltier crust; reduce added salt if using salted crackers.
Store baked crust at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
For a chocolate variation, substitute 2 tablespoons of sugar with cocoa powder.
