Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove membrane from the back of ribs. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne. Rub mixture all over ribs.
  3. Place ribs on a large baking sheet lined with foil. Cover tightly with another sheet of foil. Bake for 2 hours, or until tender.
  4. While ribs bake, make sauce: In a saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, and liquid smoke. Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove ribs from oven and uncover. Brush generously with sauce.
  6. Increase oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Return ribs to oven, uncovered, and bake for 15-20 minutes, basting with more sauce halfway through, until caramelized.
  7. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing between bones. Serve with remaining sauce on the side.
