Ingredients
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
8 small corn or flour tortillas
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 medium tomato, diced
1/2 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tbsp lime juice
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine chicken pieces with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in a single layer and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cooked through and lightly browned.
While chicken cooks, prepare the lime crema: in a small bowl, mix sour cream and lime juice until smooth.
Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
Assemble tacos: fill each tortilla with cooked chicken, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and a drizzle of lime crema. Garnish with cilantro.
Tips
For extra heat, add a diced jalapeño or a dash of hot sauce.
Serve with lime wedges on the side.
Leftover chicken can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated.
