- 1/2 jalapeño, sliced (optional)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or butter
Instructions
- Lay one tortilla on a flat surface. Sprinkle cheese evenly over the tortilla, leaving a 1-inch border. Add cilantro and jalapeño if desired.
- Place the second tortilla on top and press gently.
- Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Carefully place the quesadilla in the skillet.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and crispy. Carefully flip with a spatula.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the second side is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Transfer to a cutting board, let cool for 1 minute, then cut into wedges. Serve warm.
