1 cup freshly brewed hot coffee
2 tablespoons pumpkin purée
1 tablespoon maple syrup or brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/4 cup milk or cream (any kind)
Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
Instructions
In a small saucepan, whisk together pumpkin purée, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and milk. Heat over medium-low until warm, about 2-3 minutes, but do not boil.
Pour the hot coffee into a mug.
Add the warm pumpkin milk mixture to the coffee and stir well.
Top with whipped cream and a pinch of pumpkin pie spice if desired. Serve immediately.
