Ingredients
- 1 pound pizza dough, room temperature
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 4 ounces prosciutto, thinly sliced
- 2 cups arugula
- 1 cup cantaloupe or honeydew melon, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Balsamic glaze for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet inside.
- Divide dough into 2 balls. On floured surface, stretch each into a 10-inch round.
- Spread tomato sauce evenly over each round, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Top with mozzarella slices.
- Transfer pizzas to hot stone or sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes until crust golden and cheese bubbly.
- Remove from oven. Immediately top with prosciutto, arugula, and melon slices.
- Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and finish with balsamic glaze if desired. Serve warm.
Tips
- For best flavor, use ripe, sweet melon.
- Add prosciutto after baking to keep it from overcooking.
- Substitute arugula with basil if preferred.
