Ingredients
1 pound pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
1/2 cup tomato sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
4 ounces thinly sliced prosciutto
2 cups fresh arugula
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 cup shaved Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet inside for at least 30 minutes.
Divide dough into two balls. On a floured surface, stretch each into a 12-inch round.
Spread half of the tomato sauce on each dough round, leaving a 1-inch border. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over sauce.
Carefully transfer pizzas to preheated stone or sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
Remove from oven. Immediately top with prosciutto slices, then arugula. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Serve hot.
Tips
For a crispier crust, par-bake the dough for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
Add the arugula after baking to keep it fresh and vibrant.
Substitute prosciutto with cooked bacon or ham if desired.
