Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1 cup crushed potato chips (like kettle-cooked), plus more for topping
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable oil
Instructions
In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and milk.
Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until just combined. Fold in mini chocolate chips and crushed potato chips.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Press the dough evenly into a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Melt semi-sweet chocolate chips and oil together in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
Spread melted chocolate over the chilled dough. Sprinkle with additional crushed potato chips and a pinch of flaky sea salt if desired.
Refrigerate until chocolate is set, about 20 minutes. Break into pieces and serve.
Tips
Use heat-treated flour (microwave flour on high for 1 minute) to ensure the dough is safe to eat raw.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
For a vegan version, use plant-based butter and milk, and ensure chocolate chips are dairy-free.
