Ingredients
4 bone-in pork chops, about 1-inch thick
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
1/2 cup chicken broth
Instructions
Pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and sear until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and tent with foil.
Reduce heat to medium. Add butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the skillet. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 2 minutes.
Return pork chops to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and cook for 1 more minute. Serve immediately with sauce spooned on top.
Tips
Let pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving for juicier results.
Substitute dried herbs if fresh are unavailable, using 1 teaspoon each.
Pair with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
