Ingredients
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 pound hot dogs, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cans (15 oz each) pork and beans, undrained
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Heat oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add sliced hot dogs and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Reduce heat to medium. Add onion to the pan and cook until softened, about 4 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
Stir in pork and beans, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer.
Return hot dogs to the pan. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 30 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
