Ingredients
1 pound pizza dough, homemade or store-bought
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded fontina cheese
1/3 cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet inside for at least 30 minutes.
On a floured surface, stretch or roll the pizza dough into a 12-inch round. Transfer to a floured pizza peel or parchment paper.
Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
Sprinkle mozzarella and fontina cheeses over the sauce. Dot with gorgonzola and sprinkle with parmesan.
Drizzle olive oil over the cheese and sprinkle with oregano.
Slide pizza onto the preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly and browned in spots.
Let cool for 2 minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips
For a crispier crust, par-bake the dough for 3 minutes before adding toppings.
Substitute taleggio or provolone for fontina if desired.
Serve with a drizzle of balsamic glaze for extra flavor.
