Ingredients
1 batch pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
8 sticks string cheese (or 8 oz mozzarella cheese cut into sticks)
1/2 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup sliced pepperoni (about 30 slices)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
Divide dough into two equal portions. On a lightly floured surface, roll each portion into a 12-inch circle.
Place string cheese sticks around the edge of the dough, about 1/2 inch from the edge. Fold the edge of the dough over the cheese and press to seal. Repeat with remaining dough.
Transfer each pizza to a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza peel.
Spread half of the pizza sauce over each pizza, leaving a 1-inch border around the stuffed crust.
Sprinkle each pizza with 1 cup shredded mozzarella and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.
Arrange pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese.
Brush the stuffed crust with olive oil and sprinkle with oregano and garlic powder.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips
For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
Leftover pizza can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes.
If using store-bought dough, let it come to room temperature for easier rolling.
