Ingredients
1 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
In a small bowl, combine Parmesan cheese with black pepper and oregano if using.
Drop tablespoonfuls of the cheese mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Gently flatten each mound into a thin, even circle.
Bake for 4-5 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the centers are bubbly.
Let cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then carefully transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. They will crisp up as they cool.
Tips
Use freshly grated Parmesan for best melting and flavor.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
These crisps can also be shaped over a rolling pin while warm to create bowls or tuiles.
