Ingredients
- 200g paneer, crumbled
- 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add chopped onion and green chili. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute until raw smell disappears.
- Add turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Stir well.
- Add crumbled paneer and mix gently. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Turn off heat. Add lemon juice and fresh coriander. Mix well.
- Serve hot with bread or paratha.
Tips
- For a softer bhurji, add a splash of milk or cream while cooking.
- Can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days; reheat before serving.
