Ingredients
1 cup fresh orange juice (about 3 oranges)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons sugar
1 packet (2 teaspoons) unflavored gelatin powder
1/4 cup cold water
Orange slices or zest for garnish (optional)
Instructions
In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let stand for 5 minutes to bloom.
In a small saucepan, combine orange juice, lemon juice, and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring, until sugar dissolves and mixture is hot but not boiling.
Remove from heat. Add bloomed gelatin and stir until completely dissolved.
Pour mixture into a 2-cup mold or four individual serving dishes.
Refrigerate until set, at least 4 hours or overnight.
To unmold, dip mold in warm water for a few seconds, then invert onto a plate. Garnish with orange slices or zest if desired.
Tips
For a clearer gelatin, strain the orange juice through a fine-mesh sieve before using.
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Add a few drops of orange extract for stronger flavor.
