Ingredients
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine orange juice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes if using. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Once simmering, slowly whisk in the cornstarch slurry. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the glaze thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in sesame oil. Let cool slightly before using. The glaze will thicken further as it cools.
Tips
For a thicker glaze, add an extra teaspoon of cornstarch mixed with water.
Store leftover glaze in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Reheat gently before using, adding a splash of water if too thick.
