1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons milk
1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Heat-treat the flour: Spread flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 5 minutes. Let cool completely.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in the vanilla extract and milk until well combined.
Add the heat-treated flour and salt, and mix until just combined.
