Ingredients
3 slices white bread
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
4 ounces sliced roasted turkey breast
4 slices crispy cooked bacon
2 leaves iceberg lettuce
2 slices ripe tomato
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each toast slice.
On the first slice (mayo side up), layer half the turkey, then 2 slices of bacon, then 1 lettuce leaf, then 1 tomato slice. Season with salt and pepper.
Top with the second slice of bread (mayo side down). Spread another tablespoon of mayo on top of this bread (now facing up).
Layer the remaining turkey, bacon, lettuce, and tomato on top. Season again.
Place the third slice of bread on top (mayo side down).
Secure the sandwich with toothpicks and cut diagonally into quarters. Serve immediately.
Tips
For extra flavor, use deli-sliced turkey and thick-cut bacon.
You can substitute roasted chicken for turkey if desired.
