Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen peas (about 10 oz)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh mint leaves
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a small saucepan of salted water to a boil. Add the frozen peas and cook for 2-3 minutes until tender. Drain well.
- In the same saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the drained peas, sugar, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir to coat.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped mint. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve immediately.
Tips
- For a more intense mint flavor, add a few whole mint sprigs to the cooking water, then discard before stirring in the chopped mint.
