Ingredients
- 1 lime, halved
- 2 tablespoons coarse salt (such as kosher or sea salt)
- 1 teaspoon chili powder (or Tajín seasoning)
- Ice cubes
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
- 2 dashes hot sauce (such as Tabasco or Valentina)
- 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon soy sauce (optional)
- 1 (12-ounce) bottle Mexican lager (such as Corona, Modelo, or Pacifico)
Instructions
- Run a lime wedge around the rim of a chilled pint glass. On a small plate, mix salt and chili powder. Dip the rim into the mixture to coat evenly.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes.
- Add fresh lime juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce (if using). Stir gently to combine.
- Slowly pour the beer into the glass, tilting to minimize foam.
- Stir once more, garnish with a lime wedge, and serve immediately.
Tips
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne or sliced jalapeño.
- Use a chilled glass to keep the drink cold longer.
- Adjust hot sauce and Worcestershire to taste.
