Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 lb pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet inside.
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form mixture into 12 small meatballs (about 1 inch diameter).
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with 1 tbsp olive oil. Brown meatballs on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- On a floured surface, stretch pizza dough into a 12-inch round. Transfer to a floured pizza peel or parchment paper.
- Spread marinara sauce evenly over dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Sprinkle with half the mozzarella.
- Arrange meatballs on top, then sprinkle with remaining mozzarella. Drizzle with 1 tbsp olive oil.
- Slide pizza onto preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly, 12-15 minutes.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips
- For extra flavor, add sliced bell peppers or onions before baking.
- Serve with crushed red pepper flakes and extra Parmesan.
- Leftover pizza can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
