Ingredients
2 tsp matcha powder
2 tbsp hot water (not boiling)
1/4 cup black tapioca pearls (boba)
1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
2 tsp sugar or honey (adjust to taste)

Instructions
Cook tapioca pearls according to package directions (usually boil 5-10 minutes, then let sit covered for 5 minutes). Drain and rinse with cold water. Set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk matcha powder with 2 tbsp hot water until smooth and no lumps remain.
In a glass, combine cooked tapioca pearls, matcha mixture, milk, and sweetener. Stir well.
Add ice cubes to fill the glass. Serve immediately with a wide straw.
Tips
Use ceremonial grade matcha for best flavor and color.
Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar/honey.
For a dairy-free version, use oat or almond milk.
Tapioca pearls are best consumed within a few hours of cooking.
