This simple marinated chicken recipe yields juicy, flavorful chicken perfect for grilling or baking. The marinade combines yogurt, lemon, and spices for a tender and aromatic dish.
In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, turmeric, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, turning to coat evenly. Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 8 hours.
Preheat grill or oven to 400°F (200°C). If grilling, oil the grates. If baking, line a baking sheet with foil.
Grill or bake chicken: Grill over medium-high heat for 6-7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway.
Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
Tips
For extra flavor, add 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger to the marinade.
