Ingredients
4 large russet potatoes, cut into 1/4-inch thick fries
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, toss the potato fries with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
Spread the fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
Remove fries from oven and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top. Return to oven for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
Top with crumbled bacon and sliced green onions. Serve immediately with sour cream on the side if desired.
Tips
For extra crispy fries, soak cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes, then pat dry before tossing with oil.
Leftover fries can be reheated in a 400°F oven for 5 minutes to restore crispiness.
Customize with toppings like jalapeños, diced tomatoes, or ranch dressing.
