Ingredients
- 1 shot espresso (about 1 oz)
- 8 oz whole milk
- 1 tsp sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Brew a single shot of espresso into a warm latte cup.
- Pour cold milk into a metal pitcher. Steam the milk using an espresso machine steam wand until it reaches about 150°F and has a smooth microfoam.
- Tap the pitcher on the counter to remove large bubbles, then swirl to integrate the foam.
- Pour the steamed milk over the espresso, holding back the foam with a spoon. Spoon the remaining foam on top.
- Add sugar if desired and stir gently.
Tips
- Use fresh, cold milk for best foam.
- For a dairy-free version, use oat or soy milk.
- Adjust sweetness to taste.
