Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80/20)
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons sesame oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
2 green onions, finely chopped
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for cooking)
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, green onions, sesame seeds, and black pepper. Mix well.
Add ground beef to the bowl and mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties, about 3/4-inch thick.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through (internal temperature of 160°F).
Serve hot with rice, lettuce wraps, or as desired.
Tips
Let the patties rest for 2-3 minutes after cooking for juicier results.
These patties can be grilled instead of pan-fried.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
