Ingredients
4 Impossible Burger patties (frozen)
4 sesame seed burger buns
4 slices American cheese (optional)
4 lettuce leaves
4 slices tomato
1/2 white onion, sliced into rings
4 pickle slices
4 tablespoons ketchup
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for grilling)
Instructions
Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat (about 400°F). Lightly oil the grates.
Season the frozen Impossible patties with salt and pepper on both sides.
Grill the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, until charred and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F). If using cheese, add a slice during the last minute of cooking.
Meanwhile, split the buns and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.
Spread 1 tablespoon ketchup, 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, and 1/4 tablespoon mustard on the bottom bun.
Layer lettuce, tomato, onion rings, pickles, and the cooked patty on the bottom bun.
Close with the top bun and serve immediately.
Tips
For a classic Whopper taste, let the patties get a good char.
Serve with fries and a drink for a complete meal.
You can substitute any plant-based patty if Impossible is unavailable.
