Ingredients
4 cups water
4 black tea bags
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 3-4 lemons)
ice cubes
lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan. Remove from heat, add tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and let cool slightly.
Stir in sugar until dissolved. Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour.
In a pitcher, combine the chilled tea with fresh lemon juice. Stir well.
Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the iced tea lemonade over the ice.
Garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.
Tips
Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar to taste.
