Ingredients
8 cups water
8 black tea bags (or 2 tablespoons loose leaf black tea)
1/2 cup granulated sugar (optional, adjust to taste)
Instructions
Bring 8 cups of water to a boil in a large pot.
Remove from heat and add tea bags. Steep for 5-7 minutes for strong tea.
Remove tea bags (or strain loose leaves) and stir in sugar until dissolved, if using.
Let the tea cool to room temperature, then transfer to a pitcher and refrigerate until cold.
To serve, fill glasses with ice, pour the concentrate until about 1/3 full, then top with cold water or milk. Adjust sweetness with simple syrup if desired.
Tips
Store concentrate in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
For flavored iced tea, add fresh herbs like mint or lemon slices during steeping.
