Ingredients
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup whole milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup mini marshmallows
1/4 cup chocolate shavings or sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, whisk together heavy cream, milk, sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is hot and sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Do not boil.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Divide the hot chocolate mixture evenly among 4 silicone bomb molds or small bowls (about 1/2 cup each).
Place a few mini marshmallows into each mold, pressing them gently into the mixture. If desired, sprinkle chocolate shavings or sprinkles on top.
Freeze until solid, at least 2 hours or overnight.
To serve, unmold each hot chocolate bomb into a mug. Pour 1 cup of hot milk over each bomb and stir until melted and combined.
Tips
Store bombs in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month.
For a dairy-free version, use coconut cream and almond milk.
Customize with flavored syrups or spices like cinnamon or peppermint extract.
